Barbara believes in the fundamental role of positive communication in all human achievement. To build on each person’s essential desire and ability to communicate positively is what inspires and motivates her. As an international television correspondent and award winning documentary film maker, she has focused on communication, presentation, and training for almost 20 years. Her experience as a Harvard Nieman Fellow, addressing political and business groups in the US and Europe, strengthened her belief in the essential role of effective personal communication for any global leader. She has run her own business and has designed and presented training courses in a variety of cultures, finding tremendous reward in helping others discover and strengthen their own skills as communicators.

Through working in war zones and South Africa’s traumatic change to democracy, Barbara gained experience in negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution. Her current affairs programmes were broadcast on the SABC, CNN World Report, PBS and various channels in Europe. More recently she has broadened her writing skills; publishing a book of short stories and a novel: Blind Faith, which was released in June 2007. She lives and works in South Africa and the UK.
